Building the Experience
In the creation of our experience in Fortnite, we immersed ourselves in the vibrant island of Curaçao to capture its unique essence. We took inspiration from iconic landmarks such as the famous Handelskade in Willemstad, incorporating the traditional bright colors that define the Caribbean character of the island.

Admire the 17th-century Dutch architecture that characterizes Willemstad, with distinctive features like pointed gables and decorative windows.
Balconies and Railings
Many houses in Curaçao have wrought-iron balconies and decorative railings, adding an elegant and colonial touch to local architecture. Also, feature lattice windows, which are windows with adjustable slats or shutters. These windows allow for air circulation inside the homes.
Dutch Colonial Architecture
Dutch colonial buildings are often colorful with ornate facades, red-tiled roofs, and white-framed windows.
Red tile roofs are common in Curaçao's architecture, providing a pleasing visual contrast with the colorful facades.
